Dino Defender is one of the Jurassic Park games that even very young kids can play and have fun with! If you have a little dinosaur fan in your household, they'll enjoy playing this arcade-style PC adventure game...and you might even like it too.
The premise of Dino Defender is that a typhoon has hit the Jurassic park island and destroyed the electric fences that separate the meat-eating beasts from their gentle, plant-eating dino 'friends'. Players have to run, climb, swim and jump their way through the park to find and activate the circuit breakers that power up the fences and keep the predator dinos back where they belong. they have help from friendly helicopter pilots, who drop down essential supplies such as flares, dinosaur nets, tranquilizer darts, and call boxes that can be used to lure different species of dinosaur.
The issue is, they should do this all without being eaten! As the dinosaurs can, and can, munch you up, though you're endeavoring to help them. This could sound violent, but it really isn't...it is far from a gory or scary game in any respect.
The game begins with a training mode, so players can learn all the moves they are going to need to navigate their way over the levels. Following that, you have dropped around the island...and face the dinosaurs! The movement is a lot like platform games just like the Super Mario series, in that all of the movement is from left to right, no constantly things or different camera angles. Except for kids, it just makes all the game that much simpler to travel through...and they also want it!
The puzzles are actually quite challenging, and kids should think strategically to acquire to the next level. Luckily, they are able to try to repeat the process as many times as they quite simply really need to. If your small child gets frustrated easily, expect as long as they put this game away for the week or two after which it understand it again...many of the levels take time and employ to have through. However if they love looking to figure things out and solve situations, they'll likely can spend quite a lot of time trying different tactics to locate the roaming dinos and find every one of the fences back on.
The graphics aren't top quality, like what we're now helpful to seeing with Xbox and Playstation games, as well as the form of game this can be they're just fine.
