How can you lock your room door without a lock...?

I want to lock my room door but i cant because i dont have a lock and im not allowed to get one..... erughhh... does anyone know how to lock a room door without a lock? someone told me you can use coins or somthing but im not sure how it works. please help, thanks.

Answer:

using coins for a door lock works best if it is a solid door or a steel door. a hollow door would probably be damaged using coins to lock it. It only works on a door that opens away from you. You push the top of the door as hard as you can, and wedge a stack of pennies between the door and the door jam, then push on the bottom of the door as hard as you can and put a stack of pennies between the door and jam. This puts a great deal of pressure of the lockset, and makes it almost impossible to open.

Simple, Alternative Gift Ideas with Gold Chocolate Coins

Chocolate will always be a staple gift. No matter what type of occasion there is, chocolate are very good (as well as delicious) tokens or presents. In fact a new craze is going around now: chocolography, the concept of printing logos, pictures and such on chocolate --- everything of which can be eaten, too.

For people who are not capable of spending much on such special gift items, and for those who only intend to give out a few of them, it will be most advantageous if you'll simply make your own gift ideas with gold chocolate coins. This way, you can put in a personal touch that will make the gifts even more special and meaningful.

The following are some examples of simple gifts you can make out of chocolate coins:

Lollipops from Chocolate Coiins

These are very easy to make. You can even get your kids to make these with you. Without peeling off the gold foil wrapper of the coins, use a toothpick to punch a hole from the edge of the coin up to 2/3 of its diameter. Turn the toothpick in place several times until it comes lose and you end up with a small channel. Take a stiff, sharp-tipped straw and replace the toothpick with it, allowing the excess part of the straw to serve as the handle.

You'll be saved the effort of wrapping these lollipops because they are already individually wrapped with gold foil. Distribute the candies in boxes or small baskets padded with colored tulle and a bow, and then you can finally give them out to special friends.

Chocolate Coin Lego

Of course it would be difficult to use chocolate coins as Lego pieces, but consider the same concept. By piling the wrapped chocolate coins and locking them with toothpick, you can create pyramids, a miniature of the Leaning Tower of Pisa or the Eiffel. Imagination and huge effort are needed to create recognizable figures out gold chocolate coins; and you will be rewarded with sincere gratitude from the people who will receive them.

Give the Packaging a Personal Touch

There are many alternatives for chocolography that can be done at home. Here's an idea for gift tokens for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations: design and print out circular, commemorative stickers. Stick them on top of plain, individually wrapped chocolate coins.

Why not give more effort on your gifts and tokens and repackage the chocolates by yourself? Stack three or more chocolate coins and wrap them in thin foil to create thick bullions. Then, place them in cute boxes or wrap them in colored tulle paper tied with thin ribbons. You can make all the decisions yourself on what materials to use, what colors and design will enable you to create unique gifts and tokens.

There are a lot more gift ideas with gold chocolate coins that can be created. Most of the time, ideas that pop up unexpectedly turn out to be the best. Put those ideas to the test. The thought does count in gift-giving, but effort is much more appreciated.
